What if 2026 is the year you finally do what you’ve been promising yourself?
>> We start January 1. Let’s go! <<
Not in a dramatic, “New year, new you!” kind of way, but by creating a follow-through-like-you-mean-it level of confidence.
I know it’s fashionable to say, “I don’t set goals” and “I don’t make New Year resolutions.” We tell ourselves that January 1, 2026 will be just another Thursday. Maybe you’ll take the day off, but other than that, nothing special, right?
Except that it is. You know it, and I know it. It’s not magical or mystical at all—it’s science.
Beginnings—whether it’s Monday or your birthday or the first day of a brand new year—trigger us to take action towards a goal. It’s called the “fresh start effect,” and it happens because those beginnings create a psychological distinction between our past selves and our future selves.
That’s why we start diets on Mondays, and vow to get in shape starting on our birthday. It feels clean and fresh and oh so doable.
And the bigger the beginning, the bigger the goal we feel compelled to achieve. That’s what makes January 1 such a powerful place to start.
Now for the bad news.
Statistically speaking, by the second week of January, your motivation will have worn thin. You’ll have given up your big 2026 goals and reverted to the same activities you were doing in 2025.
And then what?
Your business won’t grow like you planned. Your life won’t change in any meaningful way. Your goals for a “new and improved you” will feel even further away.
There’s even a name for this: Quitters Day. It happens the second Friday of January, and it’s the day millions of people give up on their goal. They stop going to the gym, abandon their book project, and say—if only to themselves—“Maybe I’m not cut out for this.”
But what if there was a way to make your success… inevitable?
What if you could reinforce your plans with science-backed systems that remove guesswork, reduce friction, and make follow-through your default instead of something you force yourself to do?
Beginning January 1, I’m hosting a brand-new, high-touch group coaching experience to do exactly that.
I won’t ask you to hustle harder or commit to doing more. If you know me at all you know that’s not my style.
What I will ask is that you pick a goal or project you’ve been thinking about, dreaming about, even journaling on, but that you haven’t made significant progress on.
We’re going to rewrite that story by adding…
Can’t miss, science-backed systems for Inevitable Success
We’ll begin by setting you up for success.
Sometimes it’s hard to follow through on plans simply because you don’t have the resources available or you haven’t cleared away the distractions. Sitting down to write an email feels impossible when you can’t find your notes, you’re constantly pulled in another direction, or your sister keeps texting about the latest family drama.
My Environmental Design Worksheet will ensure that you have everything you need before you begin. It strips away the excuses and distractions before they have a chance to derail your plans, and leaves you with a clean, clutter free space—both physical and mental—in which you can get some work done.
We’ll add a dash of public accountability.
A 2024 study reported a recycling increase of as much as 5 percentage points when participants made a public statement of their plans. It’s not about shaming you into doing something (that never works), but simply leveraging external feedback for your own gain.
You’ll design a few implementation intentions.
A 2010 study published in Psychological Science showed that voters with a plan for when and where they would vote were far more likely to follow through. Turnout jumped by 9 percentage points—not because they were more disciplined or had more willpower. Because they had a plan.
You’ll schedule your distractions.
Yes, really. The goal here isn’t to beat yourself into submission, but to do all the things you most want to do—including getting that project finished.
By scheduling your distractions ahead of time, you don’t have to rely on discipline or willpower. I’m not asking you to white-knuckle through an entire month, but I am asking you to plan your days: self-care, work, and fun, too.
You’ll use self-reflection and feedback to improve your results.
We all drop the ball sometimes. We don’t send the email/publish the video/launch the course. It can become an excuse to walk away.
Or, it can become feedback that helps you improve.
In Momentum 2026, I’ll share my Guilt-Free Feedback Worksheet to help you explore the real reason you didn’t follow through on your plans so you can get back on track without the shame.
This kind of feedback (even when it’s just you) is proven to translate simple awareness into concrete behavior change over time. In other words, if you want to build solid systems that grow your business, this tool will help you get there.
You’ll have support in case you get stuck.
This is not a DIY course you’ll study and then implement all on your own. Momentum 2026 offers group coaching, accountability, and support throughout the entire month.
If you’ve ever caught yourself overthinking a decision or second-guessing a project, then you know how valuable it is to have a community to call on who just “get it.” Not your sister or your partner, but fellow business owners who know what it feels like to have big goals while wondering if you’re ever going to get there.
Imagine it’s February 1 and you’ve…
- Made solid progress on that project you’ve been planning (but not acting on) for years.
- Built real consistency with your messaging, your mission, and your visibility, and you can finally see some results.
- Stopped feeling like you have to “start over” every Monday, because you’re on track to achieve your goals.
- Learned to trust yourself to follow-through on your plans.
More importantly, you’re not beating yourself up (again) for not doing what you said you would do.
That right there is more valuable than any secret strategy or can’t-miss tactic will ever be.
