A friend sent me this link today, and being the productivity junkie that I am, I immediately clicked on it to watch. (I know, I know, I’m a walking contradiction–which is why I really needed to see this video!)
But seriously, if you find yourself saying “I’m too busy to [blog/build an email list/make my own lunch/whatever]” then you really need to watch. Full disclosure, it was a bit of a slap in the face when he said that the “busy” excuse is nothing more than laziness and fear, because:
The thing you really need to do is probably harder than checking email or commenting on Facebook.
But watch it anyway. He’s spot on with this point, and his explanation makes perfect sense. I’m going to work on removing “busy” from my life, so I can replace it with actual productivity.
