
On Monday I ranted just a bit about a couple of really bad author resource boxes I had discovered. Today I thought I would cover how to write a really outstanding resource box that will drive traffic back to your site instead of driving them away. Content might be king of the Internet, but when it comes to improving your search rankings, content alone won't do it. You need links, and lots of them. Take a look at the search results for the phrase "weight loss programs" (click images for easier reading). Now look at the number of inbound links each of those pages has – and note that I've filtered out internal links, so these numbers represent only offsite links.
