On Monday I ranted just a bit about a couple of really bad author resource boxes I had discovered. Today I thought I would cover how to write a really outstanding resource box that will drive traffic back to your site instead of driving them away. The number one key to a terrific resource box is to make it a natural extension of the article itself. Google "click here" and see what comes up in the top spot. Go ahead. I'll wait. Now why do you suppose Adobe Reader shows up in that very first spot for the search phrase "click here?" Think about all the times you've downloaded a PDF file on the internet. The page always says something like, "This report is a PDF file. You will need Adobe Acrobat to access the file.
