Stop Planning and Start Doing

I am one of the world’s great planners. I can spend hours-days even-looking at fabric swatches or yarn samples or blog templates and planning the skirts and sweaters and beautiful blogs I’m going to make. And then not making them. Because, after all, it’s the planning that is the fun part. The rest is just…work.

I’ve decided to take up the challenge placed before me and the rest of the Mom Masterminds members by co-founder Kelly McCausey, who said, “I want to double my income in about nine months…and I believe I can do it.” She absolutely can do it, and so can I.

I am One of the Hungry Woman of Internet Marketing

The greatest thing about being an Internet entrepreneur is the ability to name my own income. Kind of like PriceLine, only instead of deciding what I’m willing to pay for a plane ticket, I get to decide how much money I want to make this month. I don’t have to ask for a raise or hope I’m getting a fat Christmas bonus. I just create my own.

Of course, in order to “name my own price” I need to put the work into that beautiful plan I’ve developed. So here’s the plan:

• Regular blogging on each site I’m trying to build.
• Article marketing for the purpose of driving traffic.
• Joining Jimmy D. Brown’s Affiliatenaire course to increase my affiliate income.

I’ve already planned out my blog posting schedule for the next several weeks, along with a few articles I’ll be posting in some strategic places around the web. There’s a group of MMers who will be working through the Affiliatenaire lessons together and holding each other accountable, and I’ll be joining them as well.

Is that a lot of work? Maybe. But it feels good to have a great plan and to be working toward a goal. I’ll post back from time to time and let you know how it’s going.
